Obviously, with Stone Cold Steve Austin's latest tantrum and subsequent walkout, the possibility of Hogan-Austin at WM22 seems bleaker than ever. That's a damn shame, considering that could have potentially been the biggest moneymaker in wrestling history, even bigger than Hogan-Andre WMIII.
I've been losing more and more respect for Austin over the years. This past Monday, I lost just a little bit more. Why can't this guy grow up?

I totally agree. It kills me the heat the Hogan can get from some of the fans sometime but yet Austin is usually looked at like some sort of martyr (sp?) when he pulls a stunt like this. You always hear about that "unforgivable sin" of not showing up when promoted to but Austin seems to get a pass from most fans when he does it. But Hogan gets a bad rap for being a backstage politician (who isn't btw?). Well I'd rather have a backstage politician that shows up to promoted events vs. one that sticks it to the fans and the entire industry.

i believe the match will happen eventually. i can show you multiple interviews that austin has done where he said I would love to entertain with that guy. and we are all aware of the fact that austin is probably paying through the nose for his wives, children, and court costs (lol).
and let me also state that i have never liked austin. i actually stopped watching wrestling completely during the attitude era because of what it had become - and austin rode the crest of that wave. i don't deny for a second that austin was a huge draw, but i always point out to people that there were other forces working in his favor when he was on top. the first one was that he was feuding with vince, who had major heat following the bret hart/montreal incident. the second thing is that the rock was also there and was making an impact. i have always felt that the rock gets a raw deal when people talk about austin being the top draw during the attitude era.

DanC- i made a post about that. it's brief, but i think it covers it. hoganforum.proboards57.com/index.cgi?board=hodgepodge&action=display&thread=1127356449i think there have been instances where hulk used his stroke to the detriment of the product, but it is completely blown out of proportion in my view. we all know a few of the cases where he should've ceded the final decision to someone else, but i don't think he was rubbing his hands together with an evil smile on face...you get my point.
