Edge Follows in Hulk's Footsteps

As you probably know by now, Edge became the new WWE Champion last night at New Year's Revolution, beating John Cena in an impromptu match via his "money in the bank" contract.

Not only did a "Hulkamaniac" make good last night (and ironically, beat another Hulkamaniac to win it), but Edge's win also closely paralleled Hulk's fifth WWE title win, at WrestleMania IX (think Yokozuna, impromptu match).

I'm sure Hulk was quite proud of his former World Tag Team Title partner's win.

about time Edge got the belt. He was awesome as a babyface in '02. He has proved that he can put on great matches.

I think he should lose lita though.
