I just caught the morning showing of the Hogan Knows Best season finale. If you don't wanna know what happens before you watch it tonight, STOP READING NOW.
****
Basically, the gist of the show is Hulk trying to find a hobby for himself. At the time, it looked like his wrestling career was finally over, and all Hulk seems to be doing is hanging around the house driving his family crazy.
A bored Hulkster walks around pestering his wife Linda about tuna, and Brooke for the shirt she chose to wear (it says "Kiss Me" on the front). Eventually, Hulk decides to tag along with Linda to go antique shopping. While at the shop, Linda finds a life-size model of her husband, dressed in a yellow shirt and bandana, sporting real rooted hair and mustache (personal note: the same one actually stands in the window of Everett Sports World, close to where I live). The Hulk, of course, gets psyched over seeing this, and starts goofing around with it. Linda gets Hulk to remove his shirt so he could pose next to the model of himself. Fun stuff.
Brooke, Nick and Linda decide the best way to get Hulk to do something is by telling him he can't do it. So Nick challenges his dad to a golf game. Hulk pairs up with his financial advisor, and Nick teams with the advisor's 10-year-old son. The 10-year-old smokes the Hulk, to the point of losing a bet in which the loser had to tee off with his pants down. Their day ends with Nick bumping his golf cart into Hulk's over and over again. Brian Knobbs is also hanging around for this one. When golf fails to entice Hulk, he then tries his hand at tennis, at Brooke's behest. Brooke walks up to Hulk with "caution" tape wrapped around her head and says "I am Caution! And you better be...cautious!" Brooke apes The Rock with "If ya smell...what The Brooke...is cookin'!", and off they go. Hulk and his longtime friend Bubba head to the court with Linda and Brooke. At first, Hulk just sat around drinking beer watching his wife and daughter play, until Linda goaded Hulk onto the court by calling him "old and washed up."
Finally, Hulk takes up pilates. This is actually rather funny stuff. Hulk declares he's willing to "get in touch with his feminine side" (didn't he already do that in Mr. Nanny?). Seeing the 6'8", 275-pound Hulkster taking up pilates is something I thought I'd never see, that I will say. It appears pilates captured Hulk's interest; he tells Linda he's "off to visit his mom", but actually has Knobbs sneak him off to another pilates class. End of show.
